Reel Two offers range of powerful tools for text search and analysis. SureChem enables users to quickly identify all the chemical compounds in text documents, such as patents or journal abstracts. Classification System is a versatile application allowing rapid, custom categorization of text files or documents in either desktop or enterprise configurations. The Entity Extractor is a software development kit that lets users implement their own systems of identifying, tagging and marking up documents for specific types of terms, such as people, place names and company names. This can be combined with Classification System for a powerful search and analysis system.
The easiest, most flexible way to:
- Fully understand the competitive landscape around target compounds for drug discovery projects
- Quickly summarize research on target compounds or disease areas
- Identify links between compounds, drug targets & biological activity
The SureChem Search Portal offers a new level of comprehensiveness and currency for patent chemistry searching. Users can search from more than 5.4 million unique chemical structures extracted from the full text of US, European and WO patent documents, including prophetic and excluded compounds not found in manually curated databases. New patents and applications are available for structure search within days of publication.
Structure and patent search results can be exported for analysis or sharing. Query term highlighting shows exactly where the structure is located in the patent, with an option to show all chemical compounds identified by SureChem. Advanced chemistry and patent searching tools, including similarity and substructure search, enable accurate queries and quick refinement of search results.
Reel Two created the SureChem database by extracting chemical names from the full text of all US, EPO and WO patents and converting them to chemical structures. Extensive formatting, error correction and data processing optimize the patent data for chemical extraction. In particular, Reel Two has developed error correction heuristics that significantly improve performance on WO applications, which are often marred by poor optical character recognition issues. Multiple name-to-structure conversion tools are used to ensure the highest possible accuracy. SureChem also indexes image data for selected subsets of patents. For those users who require in-house access to patent chemistry data, Reel Two has developed the SureChem Database.
