Reel Two expands into Japan with CTC

Reel Two selects CTC Laboratory Systems as exclusive distributor for Japanese market

Reel Two, Inc. announced today that it has selected CTC Laboratory Systems Corporation (CTCLS) to exclusively distribute its text mining products and solutions in Japan. "Mining the biomedical literature is increasingly important for our life science customers," said Taizo Watanabe, President of CTCLS. "Reel Two's text classification and entity extraction products can significantly reduce the amount of time researchers spend going through articles and reports, a valuable asset to any bioinformatics effort."

"CTC Laboratory Systems has a proven track record in helping companies expand their Japanese market presence," said Reel Two President and CEO Michael Faust. "They were a natural choice for Reel Two."

CTC will sell and support Reel Two products including Classification System and Entity Extractor as well as Reel Two custom software solutions. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
