BioInform on how Incyte uses Reel Two software

May 28, 2004

BioInform describes how Incyte Proteome is using Reel Two's Classification System software to speed curation process.

This week's issue of bioinformatics publication BioInform includes an in-depth look at how Incyte Proteome is using Reel Two's Classification System software to streamline its curation process.

Curators at Incyte's Proteome group have spent nearly a decade manually curating more than 80,000 proteins to create its BioKnowledge Library. Earlier this year Incyte licensed CS to help speed up the curation process.

The story notes that Classification System is being used to "streamline the company's current curation pipeline, which relies on a distributed team of PhD-level scientists who read through reams of scientific literature to update the database."
